Job Description

  1. We are seeking a highly competent social media manager. They will be responsible for creating creative content on social media platforms and engaging audiences by responding to comments and questions.
  2. The primary goal of this role is to drive the highest possible popularity of this handle across all target platforms.
  3. You must be experienced and excellent at creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You must also be adept at distributing the content effectively.
  4. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of traffic and customer engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  2. Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.
  3. Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  4. Oversee social media accounts setup and design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  5. Set specific objectives on content and report on ROI.
  6. Monitor traffic analytics and metrics across platforms and proffer ideas to create better results.
  7. Communicate with followers, and respond to comments in a timely and engaging manner.
  8. Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  9. Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience as a social media manager.
  2. Hands-on experience in content management for a meme page/handle.
  3. Ability to create creative and original content ideas in text, image, and video forms.
  4. Ability to execute content ideas created.
  5. Excellent copywriting skills.
  6. Good use of content posting features/tools across social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
  7. Good understanding of algorithms for driving traffic on each platform.
  8. Be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.
  9. Excellent communication skills
  10. Analytical and multitasking skills

Advantage:

  1. Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
  2. Knowledge of online marketing channels
  3. Familiarity with web design
