Job Position: Social Media Manager (Intern)

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  1. As a Social Media Manager at AFA Sports, you will be responsible for implementing the company’s social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, engage with the target audience, and drive online growth.
  2. You will create customer engagementacross various social media platforms, and collaborate with the marketing team to achieve the company’s goals.
  3. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining AFA Sports’ online presence and fostering a strong online community.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute the social media strategy to align with company goals and objectives.
  2. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a positive online community.
  3. Manage and grow AFA Sports’ social media presence by increasing followers, engagement, and overall reach.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media into broader marketing campaigns.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging social media platforms to ensure AFA Sports remains at the forefront of digital marketing.
  6. Monitor competitors’ social media activities and recommend strategies to stay competitive.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a sports or lifestyle brand context.
  • Demonstrated success in growing social media engagement and followers.
  • Experience with e-commerce and content creation is a plus.

Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Creativity and proficiency in content creation, including graphic design, video editing, and copywriting.
  4. Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  5. Ability to manage multiple social media accounts and schedules.
  6. Analytical mindset to interpret social media data and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills for community management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  8. Crisis management and problem-solving skills for handling online issues effectively.
  9. Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing.

Salary
N50,000 – N70,000 Monthly.
