Job Description

  1. We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc as a Social Performance Manager.
  2. The role involves evaluating and addressing Social Risks associated with DSR Operations, developing a suitable Social Performance Management System to align with DSR Corporate Objectives.
  3. The role also includes strategizing and executing protocols within our Core Operations to mitigate foreseeable social risks connected to our business activities and prevent any resulting impacts as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supporting relevant functions and undertake accurate Social and Human Rights Impact Identification, Assessment and Mitigation activities for all site.
  2. Ensuring Social projects are executed in line with short and medium term Corporate Social Responsibilities by monitoring and tracking milestones.
  3. Monitoring and tracking compliance of the business to Corporate Social Responsibilities, Stakeholders expectations and societal needs.
  4. Identifying gaps and investment needs to be filled in for host communities, propose recommendations and track executions of the agreed
  5. Manages perceptions of societies on the business, etc. Collaborate with CRM, HSE and other management staff in the discharge of his responsibilities
  6. Monitor, track and score the business performance in terms of compliance to social relationship management with stakeholders and advise the business on how to improve the relationships.
  7. Advise the management and the Community Relations Manager (CRM) on how to effectively manage the impacts.
  8. Support DSR Head of the Health, Safety & Environment – HSE, in the Development and Execution of Environmental & Social Impact Assessment.
  9. Ensure that our operations are in full compliance with Global Social Performance Standards.

Job Requirements

  1. A Degree or its equivalent in Social Performance / Social Sciences / Sustainability  / Public Relations, or related field.
  2. Professional certification in Public / Community Relations
