Job Position: Specialist Videographer (Digital Production)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

1. To work with Marcommsteam to plan, film and edit in-house video content for all digital platforms according to briefs and scripts from Marcomm Head.
2. Responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, assisting in directing other camera operators on set and editing film footage.
3. Should stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make video content more marketable.

Job Responsibilities
Operational

1. Plan production for in-house video contents and source the appropriate equipment for execution, including line production documents, treatments, schedule, location, props and gear.
2. Assist the external production house in planning and directing on set
3. Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.
4. Plan the shoot with the creative team and user group
5. Edit footage in post-production
6. Direct other camera operators so thatthe needed footage is acquired.
7. Roll tape using digital devices available for in-house productions for our digital platforms
8. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
9. Input music, dialogues, graphics andeffects
10. Create rough and final cuts
11. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
12. Consult with stakeholders production to post-production process
13. Continuously discover and implement newediting technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
14. Execute other production jobs as briefed by Line Manager

Job Requirements        

1. BSc Degree in Film Studies, Creative Art, Cinematography or related field
2. Proven work experience as a videographer
3. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
4. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
5. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
6. Familiarity with special effects, 3Dand compositing
7. Creative mind and storytelling skills
8. Demonstrate ability to shoot with digital devices like iPhone, GoPro etc.
9. Have relative knowledge of operating Canon, Red and other types of cameras
10. Experienced inline production

Other Requirements
Knowledge:

1. Computer knowledge with specific ability to use digital technology and editing software packages(e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
2. Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
3. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
4. Demonstrate ability toshoot with digital devices like iPhone, GoPro etc
5. Have relative knowledge of operating Canon, Red and other types of cameras
6. Experienced in line production
