Job Position: State Sales Executive
Locations: Abuja (FCT), Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Delta, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Plateau and Rivers

Job Description

  1. To drive the sales and distribution of Ochel and Tehora Foods’ product range (e.g., Cornvita, Tomato Powder, Mix Spices, etc.) within the assigned state.
  2. The State Sales Executive will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing new business, overseeing local distributors and retailers, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

Job Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Target Achievement:

  1. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  2. Develop and implement territory sales plans to grow product presence.

Market Development:

  1. Identify new market opportunities and actively seek out new retail and wholesale customers.
  2. Expand product availability through direct sales, retail outlets, and distributor networks.

Distributor/Dealer Management:

  1. Recruit and manage local distributors, sub-dealers, and retailers.
  2. Monitor and support distributors to ensure product availability and visibility.

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Build strong relationships with key clients, trade partners, and stakeholders.
  2. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Product Promotion:

  1. Execute marketing campaigns and in-store promotions within the state.
  2. Ensure product visibility through merchandising and branding.

Market Intelligence:

  1. Gather market intelligence and competitor activity data.
  2. Provide regular feedback to the marketing and product development teams.

Reporting & Documentation:

  1. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  2. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain for stock replenishment.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 2–3 years’ experience in FMCG sales or food product marketing.
  3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  4. Good knowledge of the assigned state’s market and customer behaviour.
  5. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Must reside or be willing to relocate to the assigned state.

Skills:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and CRM software.
