Job Position: Strategic Account Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. This is a full-time on-site role for a Strategic Account Manager at accelerate.
  2. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with key clients, developing strategic account plans, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with various internal teams to execute client initiatives and projects.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the lead point of contact for clients on all service delivery related issues.
  2. Take ownership of briefs and answer them to a very high standard.
  3. Distill all briefs, identifying and clarifying business, marketing and communication objectives.
  4. Lead fully integrated strategies across a range of channels including advertising, digital, events and customer engagement as required.
  5. Provide support in developing and presenting new strategic opportunities for the agency.
  6. Deliver outstanding client and consumer insights to strengthen new businesses.
  7. Identify and optimize business development opportunities
  8. Ensure that clients and the agency are aligned on key performance metrics, establish realistic business goals, and provide accountability through detailed reporting.
  9. Manage inter-functional relationships, and stimulate all internal agency partners for great ideas to be generated on a CONTINUOUS and CONSISTENT basis.
  10. Achieve and maintain client satisfaction level to 100% on all accounts within your portfolio.
  11. Participate actively in brainstorming meetings and drive creative sessions.
  12. Ensure Zero account loss due to brand operational and strategic issues.
  13. Initiate and lead brand reviews, internally and externally, and ensure annual brand plans and consumer engagement strategies are developed in conjunction with clients at the start of the business year.
  14. Maximize agreed margins through Cost Optimization Internal checks at the cost centers to avoid revenue loss.
  15. Recommending and implementing improvements to the management of key client relationships.
  16. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate client needs.
  17. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and forecasts

Job Requirements

  1. Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development
  2. Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  4. Ability to think strategically and develop account plans
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  6. Knowledge of the Nigerian/African fashion, music, and entertainment industry
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  8. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
