Job Position: Operations / Supply Chain (Order Management)

Job Location: Opebi, Ikeja – Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute procurement/logistics plans to support business and operational needs based on requirements stated in the business plans and budgets.
  2. Make recommendations for cost savings for more efficient and effective procurement/ logistics methods.
  3. Manage the procurement/ logistics process to minimize additional costs (i.e. demurrage, penalties etc).
  4. Execute established Procurement/ Logistics plans in line with stated policies and procedures to support operational requirements
  5. Review Procurement/ Logistics procedures on an ongoing basis and make recommendations on best value options available
  6. Oversee the smooth running of Edgebase’s Procurement/ Logistics processes and procedures
  7. Effectively remove any obstacles to ensure optimal delivery of services to the highest standards thereby achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  8. Undertake vendors’ performance appraisal with support on key logistic vendors
  9. Liaise with Finance Department and local banks on opening of LCs for imports and payment of clearing fees and duties and collection of necessary paperwork for import/export.
  10. Co-coordinate imports/exports with agents and local authorities
  11. Ensure that all other statutory requirements/permits are in place prior to importation (SONCAP, NAFDAC, etc)
  12. Interface regularly with Government Officials as may be required on the job
  13. Verify custom clearing agents bills as well as other bills that may be presented by other stakeholders including shipping companies.
  14. Produces/provides periodic updates and required management reports covering service ordering, order tracking, purchase orders and contracts, service order delivery scheduling and costs.
  15. Any other duties assigned by Management

  5. Compliance with Procurement Policies and Processes
  6. Number of Audit Queries Received on Procurement
  7. Level of Leakages Due to Mis-Procurement.

Financial Dimensions:

  • Adhere to 100% compliance to approve budget.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 3 – 6 years work experience.
