Job Position: System Engineer – Software
Job Location: Gbagada, Lagos
- Job Responsibilities
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing systems and infrastructure. You will be a member of our core engineering team and will have an opportunity to advance in your career.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement new systems
- Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems
- Maintain and constantly improve existing systems
- Determine bottlenecks in the current systems and suggest solutions to problems
- Determine issues with business Internet connectivity, WAN technologies, remote access, and VPN configuration
- Participate in security management
- Use diagnostic tools to determine deficiencies
- Suggest and oversee improvement processes
- Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices
- Attend webinars and conferences
Job Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role
- 2 years of experience using Linux or Unix environments, Debian or Ubuntu
- Very good understanding and knowledge of networking and application-level operations
- Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) highly desirable
- VMWare Certification is highly desirable
- Cisco Certification highly desirable
- Experience with and knowledge of operating systems and server solutions (Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services (RDS), IIS, AD).·
- Experience with Perl, Ruby, Python
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 Monthly.
