Job Position: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Description
- We are looking for an exceptional Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our rapidly scaling team and focus on the recruitment and selection of talent into our business across all departments.
- Your mission will be to source, screen and provide shortlists of qualified applicants for various roles.
- In addition to this, you will promote Kuda’s employer brand by networking with potential candidates using online/offline channels to ensure that we attract talented professionals and reduce time-to-hire.
- The ultimate goal is to ensure that we build a strong talent pipeline and employer brand to ensure that we are able to satisfy current as well as future hiring needs.
- You will be joining us at an exciting time of growth and transformation, and your role will have a direct impact in shaping the workforce and success of Kuda.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with Hiring Managers to write and post job descriptions
- Source potential candidates, including from niche platforms, like Stack Overflow and GitHub
- Perform pre-screening calls to analyse applicants’ abilities
- Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions)
- Coordinate with team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs
- Craft and send personalised recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
- Participate in conferences and meetups to network with professionals and promote the Kuda Employer Brand
- Efficiently manage all stages of the recruitment pipeline and report on all candidate interactions through our ATS, Workable
- Onboard new hires
- Promote the company’s reputation as a great place to work
- Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements
- Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and a strong track record of placing top talent
- Experience of recruiting for roles covering Africa would be advantageous
- Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical and non-technical roles
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislations
- Proactive and get-things-done mindset
