Job Position: Team Lead, Pay Day Lending
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
Leadership and Management: 

  1. Lead, mentor and manage a team of digital lending product and platform managers.
  2. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Product Strategy and Development: 

  1. Define and drive the product vision and strategy in alignment with the Bank’s goals.
  2. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
  3. Prioritise product features and development efforts based on business impact, customer needs and market trends.

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Data Management, M&CC, IT, Legal, Sales Force, customer experience, etc.
  2. Manages product plans, progress, and results with stakeholders and senior management.
  3. Manage the process of gathering and analysing feedback from customers, partners, and stakeholders to inform product decisions.

Market and Competitor Analysis: 

  1. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape.
  2. Utilise data and analytics to make informed product decisions and measure product performance.

Innovation and Improvement: 

  1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product development efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Encourage a culture of innovation within the team, promoting new ideas and approaches.

Others:

  1. Manage and support existing business relationships while sourcing additional business prospects.
  2. Build and maintain business value on the Digital Lending platforms
  3. Grow business product portfolio through partnerships across verticals
  4. Actively guide the efforts of the sales force
  5. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products and services within the boundaries of the approved budget
  6. Ensure effective training and knowledge management across the branch touchpoints on workplace banking products
  7. Undertake proposition & product pitch and organise periodic employee engagement sessions in approved Workplace Banking schemes/employers
  8. Responsible and accountable for risk management of his/her business & portfolio.
  9. Work with the SBUs to identify new markets that present opportunities for the Business.

Requirements
Education:

  1. Minimum Education:  First Degree.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration and related certifications in Digital Product Management, Business & Data Analytics would be an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum experience: 5 years of general banking experience
