Job Position: Team Manager – Merchant Lending
Location: Nigeria

Job Overview

  1. The Team Manager will Manage with effectiveness and efficiency a team portfolio of customers with the strict minimum risk acceptance level by selling the different products of the company.
  2. The Por supervisor remains responsible of the portfolio activities of his/her team from promotion, loan assessment, disbursement collection and complete recovery.
  3. He/she is also responsible for having a good relationship with FairMoney’s clients and encourage them to buy all the products they are qualified for.

Job Responsibilities
Loan Officer Supervision:

  1. Manage a Team of Portfolio managers who play a team leadership role that motivates team members to achieve excellence
  2. Ensure that individual loan officers on the team meet monthly disbursement objectives
  3. Ensure that individual loan officers on the team meet monthly quality targets by maintaining a very strict minimum risk level
  4. Monitor performance to make sure that every team member is performing to the optimum level and ensure that the policy and procedures are respected
  5. Conduct pre-disbursement field visits with the loan officers on the team
  6. Monitor daily repayment
  7. Support loan officers with loan recovery, client acquisition
  8. Approving loans when approval authorities are granted
  9. Assessing periodically the performance of his/her team member for decision making
  10. Support the area manager or the state manager in building a good working environment
  11. Represent the institution towards active and potential partners with dignity and pride

Training:

  1. Provide regular training for the loan officers on the team
  2. Coach and mentor loan officers

Reporting:

  1. Prepare daily reports on individual loan officer performance
  2. Other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

  1. HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related fields
  2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in Loan Sales / Portfolio Management and team management
  3. Ability to motivate a team of Sales Managers for performance
  4. Extremely flexible, result-oriented, and hardworking with a strong track record of success
  5. Ability to self-motivate and manage oneself
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  7. High level of integrity
  8. Dynamic and motivated individuals who like to work outdoors
  9. Target Driven.
