Job Title: Technical Adviser

Job Description

  1. The Technical Adviser is responsible for providing technical expertise to the organization’s leadership and management team.
  2. They analyse technical issues, evaluate options, and provide recommendations to help the organization make informed decisions.
  3. The Technical Adviser works closely with other members of the leadership team to identify technical challenges and develop strategies to overcome them.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical advice and expertise to the organization’s leadership and management team.
  2. Analyse technical issues and evaluate options to identify the best course of action.
  3. Identify technical challenges and work with other members of the leadership team to develop strategies to overcome them.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement technical solutions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with developments in the technical field and identify opportunities for the organization to advance its technical
  6. capabilities.
  7. Review and evaluate technical proposals from vendors and external partners.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of technical standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Provide training and support to technical staff as needed.
  10. Ensure that all technical activities comply with ethical and legal standards.
  11. Attend technical conferences and events to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices.

Job Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  2. Advanced degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical advisory role, preferably in a related industry.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  8. Experience developing technical standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Good understanding of ethical and legal requirements related to technical activities.
  10. Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with developments in the technical field.
