Job Position: TikTok Social Media Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create and post content on our TikTok page, including funny and informative captions, simple graphics and photo posts, memes, and filming and cutting of original video, ensuring proper content distribution and proper use of channels’ features.
  2. Community management – Moderate comments, daily spam check across all the channels and other commenting systems.
  3. Approve comments when necessary & quick response/monitoring of comments following the standard guidelines. Interacting with our TikTok community, including partnerships with influencers and participation in viral challenges.
  4. Monitor trends across channels, and ensure time-to-market for the content distribution is efficient and each post is top-notch.
  5. Overall management and administration of the TikTok page, managing follower growth, commercialization, follower engagement, and general look/feel of the channel
  6. Work with the Head of Social, video team, and other team members to devise and implement our content and social media strategies. Weekly monitoring and reporting on output and engagement
  7. Curate fun viral videos from celebrities and other creators relevant to the target audience
  8. Become an advocate for the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  9. Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns – analyze, review and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results.
  10. Abide by the core principles of journalism, the code of ethics for Nigerian journalists, as well as worldwide journalistic ethics and standards.
