Job Description

  1. On behalf of our client, a leading trading company of agro products, we are currently recruiting for the role of Trader – Sesame.
  2. As a Trader, you will be responsible for maximizing profits through the purchase and sale of sesame in West Africa.
  3. You will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and customers, manage pricing and inventory levels, and monitor market trends to identify opportunities.
  4. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated candidate who is passionate about the agricultural sector and has a proven track record of success in trading.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies for buying and selling sesame, with a focus on maximizing profits and minimizing risks
  2. Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and customers
  3. Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers and customers
  4. Monitor market trends and anticipate changes in supply and demand
  5. Analyze data and reports to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  6. Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  2. At least 3 years of experience in trading commodities, preferably in West Africa
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  5. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  6. Knowledge of local market trends and regulations
