Job Position: Training Academy Lead – Process Automation

Job Location: Lagos

Your Mission

  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing training plans for Engineers in the Services and Engineering team within Nigeria.
  2. This role will liaise closely with the OCS team to plan and schedule training courses in Foxboro DCS, Triconex systems and other Schneider PA technologies.
  3. This technical role will also deliver internal and external training to clients.
  4. The role will report directly to the Head of Engineering and Services – West Africa and be part of the delivery team to develop and lead the training centre.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Work with the delivery team to recruit new resources as required.
  2. Work with engineers in developing training plans.
  3. Track agreed on training plans of engineers.
  4. Work with clients on training plans.
  5. Drive compliance of training scope on contracts.
  6. Plan schedule and deliver training to clients.
  7. Work with the sales and services team to drive training opportunities.
  8. Ensure compliance with all company quality procedures and policies.
  9. Manager as requested on periodic internal and external audits.
  10. Ensure full compliance with all statutory and Schneider Electric’s Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  11. On time renewal of all safety certifications as appropriate.

Job Requirements
About You:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  2. A Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in an extended specialist area such as delivery or technical field services.
  3. Extensive knowledge of Schneider Electric PA products will be a distinct advantage.
  4. Must have some experience in leadership or mentoring role and managing process.
  5. Good communication skills, decision-making, motivation, ability to influence others, team player.
  6. Extensive technical knowledge in all aspects of the business.
  7. Demonstrates the ability to take a broader organisational view (especially of services), understand overall market dynamics such as strategy and what drives competitive pressure, and apply that knowledge and influence critical stakeholders on the differentiated value Schneider Electric can bring.
