Job Position: Manager, Treasury Assurance

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • For this role, your primary responsibility will be to oversee treasury operations, FX desks, strategic plan execution and provide analyses across all treasury functions including risk/FX management, Investments & Treasury products, forecasting, and reporting

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the maintenance of company funds and develop various reports regarding transaction portfolios, monitor cash flow analysis that provides information on cash flow and liquidity
  2. Establish strong working partnerships externally with key banking partners & internally with stakeholders to our funding operations
  3. Ensure standard daily and periodic reporting and maintain process documentation for all relevant reports including funding and certain liquidity metrics
  4. Support new bank onboarding & FX trading activities as needed
  5. Identify optimization opportunities to be communicated to finance
  6. Liaise with partners for optimization of channels/fees
  7. Assists with financial analysis and market trends on foreign currency and interest rate exposures
  8. Maintains knowledge of financial markets
  9. Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed  policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties
  10. Proactively think of strategic methods to improve process
  11. Any other duties assigned Process Improvement
  12. Work with all sub-teams to identify various touchpoints and design processes to optimize same
  13. Continuous evaluation of current processes vis-à-vis best industry practices
  14. Stakeholders Engagement: the role also involves continuous and effective engagement of relevant stakeholders in achieving operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury assurance, financial services, trade /Treasury Operations or similar field
  3. Minimum of 1 year of people management experience
  4. Experience & understanding of international payments, banking systems, Crypto and Defi workflow platforms
  5. Good understanding of the foreign exchange operations and local regulations
  6. Advanced proficiency in Excel
  7. Experience or familiarity with all or some of Emerging Markets, FX, and remittances a plus
  8. Excellent Financial analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
  9. High Level attention to detail
  10. Ability to identify errors
  11. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines
  12. Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills and communication skills
  13. Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision
  14. High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards.
