Job Position: TV Video Editor

Job Location: Wuse Zone 1, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

Hence, we are searching for a creative and well versed TV Video Editor to work directly with the Director’s vision of a fast growing studio, in the post production and assemblage of recorded footage thereby fusing sound and sight together for a cohesive story to be produced which should be suitable for broadcasting.

Job Responsibilities
As a TV Video Editor, you should be able to:

  1. Create a virtual studio background for our TV presentations.
  2. Understand the production team’s need and specifications starting with the shooting script review
  3. Edit and manipulate film pieces in such a way they are not noticeable by the audience.
  4. Contribute to continuity by utilizing raw materials and shooting script to create a shot decision list based on scenes value.
  5. Put together the sequence of films by trimming footage segments.
  6. Utilize music, dialogues, effects and graphics effectively
  7. Ensure smooth running and logical sequencing as well as the creation of rough and final cuts
  8. Work effectively with stakeholders from pre-production to post production process
  9. Maximize efficiency by identifying and implementing new editing technologies as related to industry’s best practices.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in Film Studies, Cinematography or a related field with at least 2 years relevant work experience.
  2. Proven work experience as a TV Video Editor
  3. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
  4. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  5. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
  6. Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
  7. Creative mind and storytelling skills
  8. Must be based in Abuja.

Salary
N50,000 – N95,000 Monthly.
