Job Position: Video Editor

Job Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Job Responsibilities

  1. Define requirements, and create graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, mobile applications, and other exciting products in the company’s pipeline.
  2. Familiarity with best practices for graphics and video content on social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram);
  3. Maintain quality and continuity of multiple projects while working against set deadlines
  4. Actively maintain awareness and education of the latest trends, techniques, and tools related to post-production
  5. Work with green screen, live-action, Multicam
  6. Express verbally and graphically specific design ideas
  7. Partner closely with the marketing team to communicate brand value.
  8. Report directly to and collaborate with our product manager
  9. Present your work at company-wide check-ins and stand-ups’ when required.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 2 – 5 years relevant work experience.
  2. Proficiency in video tools such as Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and Blender.
  3. Mid-level skills in animation tools like After Effects or similar software.
  4. Experience with 3D modeling software like Blender, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.
  5. Knowledge of color correction, retouching, subject processing, and manipulating light, perspective, and dimension.
  6. Familiarity with typography principles and modular grid composition.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize and automate design processes.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
  9. Ability to accept and incorporate constructive criticism.
  10. Strong listening skills and logical thinking abilities.
  11. Openness to learning new tools and technique.
  12. Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  13. Strong attention to detail.
  14. Accountability and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
