Job Description

  1. Responsible for general coordination and supervision of stores administration and inventory management.
  2. Supervision of stock receipts, transfers, issues, returns and general stores accounting.
  3. Responsible for managing the inventory and ensure optimum stock levels are maintained.
  4. Ensures relevant spares and materials are stocked.
  5. Responsible for company’s procedure related to stock material management.
  6. Receive and confirm for approval the purchase requisition for stock items.
  7. Ensures the removal of obsolete items as determined by the users.
  8. Monitors stock taking.
  9. Maintains stock items in good and appropriate condition
  10. Contributes in optimisation of Working Capital Requirement (WCR) by optimising stock holding and cost of storage.
  11. Give the direction for Stock Strategy Analysis.
  12. Define plant stock type standard, consignment, and Virtual.
  13. Define MRP parameters, Reordering point, Lot size (type/min/max/max level),
  14. Procurement type and delivery and processing time
  15. Run MRP to keep materials available for maintenance and production activities
  16. Reporting Review for Inventory IMO Skills required
  17. Ability to analyse for the inventory Reporting and give the advice and direction for improvement
  18. Materials transfer between plants. Storage location, change Material features, and Virtual
  19. Managing material issuing and receiving
  20. The whole process for Physical Inventory management, Create Physical Inventor document, Block material for posting, Print and distribute inventory document, Counting stock, Entering results of count on physical inventory document, and Entering results of count into the system
  21. Obsoletes Management process, Conduct a physical inspection, Prepare a list of damaged items, List of slow movement Items, define items in the Material Master of the
  22. ERP System as obsolete, Review final list to match it against the approved list, Relocate the obsolete parts in a separate area in the warehouse, extended to Dispatch / Dispose the goods and post them in the system
  23. Reporting Review for Inventory IMO
  24. Point of contact during MEC execution Skills required
  25. Ability to analysis for the inventory Reporting and give the advice and direction for improvement

  29. Responsible for good health and safety of staff and properties under his supervision.

Physical Inventory:

  • Leads the Physical Inventory which refers to process of physically determining and recording existing stocks in order to ensure the level of stock currently on hand.
  • Actual stock levels are determined and compared with the book inventory balances and any differences is found, may be Adjusted/corrected as necessary.

Stock Strategy:

  • Ensures adequate compromise between the Material Availability, its impact on Plant Operation and on Optimum Stock Level, meaning lowest sustainable Net Working Capital, at plant / OpCo /  Region level.

Stock strategy Objectives:

  • Stock strategy and material availability defined for each material:
    • Stock: Normal
    • Stock: Self-service
    • Stock: Consignment
    • Stock: Capitalize Spare
    • Stock: Virtual Warehouse
    • Stock: Central Warehouse
  • MRP Parameters
    • Stock or non-stock material
    • Ordering Process scenario to be used

Stock Management:|
Responsible for stock movement – Goods Issue (GI) and Goods Receipt (GR). The Inventory  Management system supports the following types of goods movement:

  1. Withdrawal of material for production orders
  2. Receipt of stock and non-stock items into warehouse
  3. Scrapping and withdrawal of material for sampling
  4. Return deliveries to vendors
  5. Other types of internal staging of material
  6. Deliveries to vendors without the involvement of the SD

Obsolete Management:
Contribute to the quality and level of inventories in LafargeHolcim, having a direct impact on:

  1. Net working capital levels: by contributing to define and maintain optimal inventory levels
  2. Plant reliability: by having the right parts, in the right conditions, and at the right time to ensure the reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment
  3. Financial Statements:
    • Contributes to the reliable reporting of inventory balance
    • Clear and proper segregation of duties
  4. Identification of obsolete items
  5. Write-off and sale of obsolete items
  6. Disposal of obsolete items.

MRP Management:

  1. The main function of Material Requirements Planning is to supervise stocks to ensure material availability, that is, to procure the requirement quantities for in-house activities.
  2. Purchasing proposals are automatically created in SAP for the Purchasing and Manufacturing departments.
  3. This target is achieved by using various materials planning methods which each cover different procedures.
  4. The MRP process determines:
    • Which materials are needed?
    • What amount?
    • When are they needed.

Inventory Reporting:

  • Monitor the realization of the plans. Follow-up tasks defined in mayor shut-downs in a daily frequency.

H&S and Environment:

  • Ensures all activities within the warehouse are carried out in line with LH H&S standards. Active participation of his team in all organised safety activities within and outside the plant.

People Management:

  • Takes care of his own development needs and train maintenance people on planning requirements

Job Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in Warehouse Operation
  • Must have a technical Degree/Diploma (In Engineering) or Degree in Supply Chain / Business Administration
  • Sound knowledge SAP Inventory application is essential for the job holder
  • Professional Qualification (e.g. CIPSMN) is a major advantage.
  • Experience in heavy industry preferred
  • Microsoft Office, SAP Inventory Management
  • Knowledge of cement production process
  • Knowledge of Inventory management system, Basics of Cost.
