Job Position: Warehouse Manager
Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Description
- The warehouse manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling, and managing warehouse operations, including transportation, inventory management and ensuring compliance with company warehouse procedures.
- The goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment, supervise the receipt, dispatching, and storage of equipment in our warehouse.
- The ideal candidate will also oversee reporting, security, maintenance, and administrative functions.
- To ensure success candidate needs to be highly organized, multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits and have strong leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and site deployment operations.
- Implementing operational policies and procedures.
- Implementing and overseeing security operations.
- Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Ensuring the safety of staff.
- Review layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Prepare and take responsibility for warehouse annual budget
- Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
- Planning logistics for equipment deployment
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing warehouse and inventory information and trends.
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
- Solid knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Analytical and inquisitive mind
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethics and time management skills;
- Strong people skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel PowerPoint and Word)
