Job Position: Web / Mobile Front End Developer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback, suggesting tradeoffs when required.
  2. Ensure the code follows the latest coding practices and industry standards.
  3. Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the system’s APIs.
  4. Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks.
  5. Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

Qualifications

  1. B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. 4-5 years of experience as a front-end developer building modern applications.
  3. Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming.
  4. Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.
  5. Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks.
  6. Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS knowledge, React and Flutter (Native Android) knowledge is also an advantage.
  7. Understanding of APIs and how to use them in practice.
  8. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience as a developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
  9. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align the organisation on decisions.
  10. Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply.
  11. Utilises team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently.
  12. Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging/disruptive technologies.
  13. Wants to unleash inner self-starter and work in an environment that fosters entrepreneurial minds.
  14. Believes in a culture of transparency and trust.
  15. Open to learning new ideas outside the scope or knowledge skillset.
  16. Aspirational to become a full-stack or deep expert.
  17. Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
  18. Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate.
  19. A valid and up-to-date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement of this role.
