Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- The job holder shall be responsible for managing the financial resources of the company and for the budget planning and asset management.<\/li>\n
- Also supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Provision of detailed financial data, as well as relevant, accurate and prompt analysis and recommendations required for daily business and financing decisions.<\/li>\n
- Ensures the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at efficiency, growth, and profitability of the business in the long-term.<\/li>\n
- Responsible for the financial integrity of the books, financial processes, procedures, and financial controls.<\/li>\n
- Review the financial transactions entered on AP & AR modules of Sage ERP.<\/li>\n
- Review entries in the GLs and ensure their consistency with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).<\/li>\n
- Ensure that GLs are properly reconciled, and their balances are correct.<\/li>\n
- Ensure that financial transactions entered on the Sage ERP are substantiated by auditing documents.<\/li>\n
- Ensure that month end closures are done and posted on Sage ERP.<\/li>\n
- Regular review of General Ledgers and ensure that the accounts of the company show a true and fair view of its position.<\/li>\n
- Preparation of IFRS based Financial Statement.<\/li>\n
- Preparation of projects performance reports<\/li>\n
- Responsible for budget performance monitoring and reporting<\/li>\n
- Responsible for tracking, control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results.<\/li>\n
- Maintain the fixed asset register.<\/li>\n
- Support periodic reporting process as at when due.
\nLiaise with senior management across the organization.<\/li>\n - Coordinate with various departments and perform variation analyses for all technical accounting problems to frame accounting policies.<\/li>\n
- Administer and ensure achievement of all accounting financial and operational targets, and achieve organization and accounting objectives<\/li>\n
- Ensure that the Company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements by ensuring that record keeping meets the requirement of auditors and government agencies.<\/li>\n
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.<\/li>\n
- Must maintain the highest level of decorum and professionalism in dealings with clients, statutory bodies, and consultants.<\/li>\n
- Research and apply appropriate IFRS to new transactions.<\/li>\n
- Ensure monthly filing of PAYE, PENSION, VAT and WHT returns<\/li>\n
- Liaise with the Tax consultant and Tax authorities.<\/li>\n
- Manage Treasury Function<\/li>\n
- Maintain Income Schedule, WHT Schedule, Pension Schedule, PAYE Schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
