Founded on 28 May 1975, with the signing of the Treaty of Lagos, its mission is to promote economic integration across the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Job Position: <\/strong>Accountant<\/li>\n<li><strong>Job Location<\/strong>: Abuja<\/li>\n<li><strong>Institution:<\/strong> ECOWAS Parliament<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grade:<\/strong> P1 \/ P2 \/ P3<\/li>\n<li><strong>Status:<\/strong> Permanent<\/li>\n<li><strong>Directorate:<\/strong> Administration &amp; Finance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Division:<\/strong> Finance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Line Supervisor:<\/strong> Accountant, Financial Reporting &amp; Treasury<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slot:<\/strong> 2 Openings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Accountant, the incumbent shall assist in delivering financial services to the Parliament.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check balances under the budget head to ensure sufficiency of funds before inputting transactions;<\/li>\n<li>Cast and cross-casts the arithmetical accuracy of input and output data;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare payment vouchers for payment of goods and services;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare on a monthly basis payment vouchers for staff salaries;<\/li>\n<li>File appropriately all authorized payment vouchers and commitment orders;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance from a recognized University.<\/li>\n<li>2 years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, Budget, Business Administration, or related area is required;<\/li>\n<li>familiarity with administrative and financial policies and procedures with a basic practical understanding of broad theories, concepts and approaches;<\/li>\n<li>ability to provide support services in collecting and analyzing data for anomalies, trends, errors, and answers using various methods and techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Age Limit:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be below 50 years old.
