We are looking for passionate, and dedicated people who are looking to join a growing, entrepreneurial organisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position: Account Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Industry<\/strong>: Engineering<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always keep adequate records of creditors for management information.<\/li>\n<li>Checks bank reconciliation and updating of cashbooks.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and recording transactions and financial events in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policy.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly payroll processing and reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the accurate and timely processing of general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring accurate and timely accounting reporting; monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.<\/li>\n<li>Post sales and purchase invoices to ledgers.<\/li>\n<li>Receive all invoices for jobs and process payments to vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Post journal entries to ERP system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nCompetencies Required<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments that have required adaptability and flexibility to be successful.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of ERP system\/accounting software.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to management, board, or other outside partners.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from supervisor to accomplish objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Prior work experience in a top public accounting firm is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Job Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related course.<\/li>\n<li>ICAN\/ACCA certification.
