Job Position: Assistant Facility Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. To ensure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes to meet the needs of the company.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist the facility manager in developing and implementing a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  2. Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  3. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
  4. Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  5. Coordinate intra-office moves
  6. Assist in managing maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  7. Manages facility refurbishment and renovations
  8. Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
  9. Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
  10. Monitor activities of contract suppliers
  11. Manage contractor and vendor relationships
  12. Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
  13. Check completed work by contractors and vendors
  14. Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing
  15. Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
  16. Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  17. Oversee environmental health and safety
  18. Assure security of the facility
  19. Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  20. Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  21. Available for travel to all Eye Foundation Hospital group locations.

Job Requirements

  1. Relevant qualification in Engineering field
  2. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role and industry.
