Job Description

  1. The Channel Sales Manager, Brands plays a pivotal role in connecting brands and distributors, facilitating collaboration, and driving sustainable growth.
  2. This position involves strategic planning, relationship management, and execution of initiatives that ensure strong partnerships between brands and distributors, resulting in mutually beneficial business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the primary liaison between brand teams and distributor networks, fostering robust partnerships for enhanced collaboration and communication.
  2. Collaborate with brand teams and distributors to develop comprehensive monthly trade volume plans, aligning trade goals with brand objectives and distributor capabilities to achieve KPIs.
  3. Utilize historical data, market trends, and distributor insights to forecast trade volumes precisely. Collaborate with brand teams to ensure optimal inventory planning and availability.
  4. Align brand strategies with distributor capabilities and market demands, providing valuable insights to brand teams based on distributor feedback and market dynamics.
  5. Work closely with brand marketing teams to create impactful promotional campaigns that resonate with distributors, align with their calendars, and drive trade through incentives.
  6. Continuously monitor trade volume performance against targets, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement and proactively implementing corrective actions.
  7. Promptly address operational or communication issues between brands and distributors, collaborating cross-functionally to find effective solutions.
  8. Facilitate regular communication between brands and distributors through meetings, updates, and feedback loops, ensuring clarity in expectations and goals for both parties.
  9. Utilize data analytics tools to analyze trade volume data, market trends, and distributor feedback, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.

Job Requirements
What we are looking for in a candidate:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  2. Proven experience in sales, channel management, or business development within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
  3. Strong understanding of brand-distributor dynamics, trade operations, and supply chain management.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends for informed decision-making.
  6. Proactive problem-solving skills and collaboration abilities within a cross-functional environment.
  7. Project management expertise to coordinate and execute multifaceted initiatives.
  8. Proficiency in data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM software.
