Job Summary

As Operations Manager am responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel so that Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets.

Job Responsibilities

  1. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel so that Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  2. Work in conjunction with the General Manager to actively manage key property issues (including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment)
  3. Assist in the development of meaningful, achievable hotel budgets and other short and long-term hotel strategic goals
  4. Provide effective leadership to the hotel management team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded
  5. Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved
  6. Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments to meet and exceed guest expectations
  7. Comply and exceed hotel and company Service Standards
  8. Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the operational departments and results are analysed regularly to highlight problem areas and take appropriate action
  9. Manage and develop the Heads of Department to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company
  10. Seek and respond to Guest feedback to achieve positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction
  11. Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team
  12. What are we looking for?
    An Operations Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
  13. A Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  14. Strong commercial acumen, preferably with experience in Food and Beverage
  15. Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results
  16. In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector
  17. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and exceed targets
  18. Accountable and resilient
  19. Ability to work under pressure.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  1. Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
  2. Previous experience in the same or similar role.
