Job Position: Sales and Marketing Specialist
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both private and public sector organisations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and partners (OEMs and distributors).
- Prepare and submit commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders for IT products and services.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals within assigned sectors or regions.
- Conduct client presentations, product demos, and negotiation meetings to close deals.
- Collaborate with the technical and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and post-sale support.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source IT products and negotiate pricing with OEMs, authorised distributors, and suppliers.
- Maintain a database of trusted vendors for various IT equipment categories (e.g., laptops, servers, printers, networking devices, UPS, software licenses).
- Ensure procurement compliance with company policies and client requirements.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse or logistics team for prompt replenishment.
- Stay updated on market prices, new product releases, and vendor promotions.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote IT solutions and services.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Manage digital marketing activities (social media, SEO, email campaigns, and online product promotions).
- Design and update sales materials such as catalogues, brochures, and product presentations.
- Represent the company at tech expos, conferences, and business networking events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or procurement within the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and OEM brands (HP, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, Microsoft, etc.).
- Proven experience in vendor sourcing, quotation preparation, and bid/tender processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly and quarterly sales revenue.
- Number of new accounts or projects won.
- Procurement cost savings and vendor efficiency.
- Customer retention and satisfaction.
- Marketing campaign engagement and lead conversion rates.
Preferred Certifications (an advantage):
- IT product certifications (e.g., HP Sales Certified, Dell EMC, Cisco Sales Expert, Microsoft Partner Training).
- Marketing certifications (e.g., Google Digital Marketing, HubSpot Inbound Marketing).
Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 / month.
