Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Description

  1. A Business Development Manager in a fintech company plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the organization.
  2. They are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s client base. This position requires a deep understanding of the fintech industry, financial products, and market trends.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities in the fintech sector.
  2. Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads to identify potential clients, partners, or investors.
  3. Sales and Client Acquisition: Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients or customers for the company’s products or services.
  4. Partnership Building: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other fintech companies, financial institutions, or technology providers.
  5. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the company’s products and services, as well as competitor offerings, to effectively communicate value propositions.
  6. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  7. Negotiation: Negotiate terms and agreements with clients, partners, or investors to secure profitable and beneficial deals for the company.
  8. Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, sales collateral, and strategies to promote the company’s products and services.
  9. Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to enter new markets or geographical regions.
  10. Reporting: Prepare reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market analysis for senior management.
  11. Compliance: Ensure all business development activities adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards.
  12. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless client onboarding and support.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications can be a plus.

Experience:

  1. Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably in the fintech industry.
  2. Demonstrated success in identifying and closing business opportunities and partnerships.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of fintech products, services, and industry trends.
  2. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and market research.

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.

Salary
N50,000 – N80,000 / month.
