Job Position: Construction Project Manager

Job Location: Plateau

Job Description

  • The position will serve as a Project Manager in the Construction team. The individual should be well-organized, have good time management skills, and be able to act with limited guidance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage teams of professionals – Architects, Services Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors.
  2. Please communicate with General Contractors and ensure all consultant timelines and goals are articulated and achieved.
  3. I’d like you to manage the design development and project process to ensure the project’s technical information is adequate for tender.
  4. Please let me know about the procurement options available and make recommendations as required.
  5. Manage the contractor tender and appointment process, ensuring all relevant contract terms and conditions are incorporated.
  6. Could you ensure all bonds and insurance required are obtained from all relevant parties?
  7. Please be sure to liaise with suppliers and manufacturers where required.
  8. Administer the construction and consultant agreements and ensure all responsibilities are carried out per the contract terms and conditions.
  9. Liaise with local authorities and related government agencies regarding zoning and town planning issues and building control.
  10. Obtain all regulatory approvals/certificates – pre-, during, and post-construction.
  11. Prepare weekly reports required for the successful execution of the projects.
  12. Schedule and chair all meetings required for the successful completion of the projects.
  13. Develop, track, and retain ownership of project development timelines, manage milestones delivery, and monitor progress against timelines.
  14. Implement Budget Management Program for projects.

Job Requirements

  1. At least a Bachelor’s Degree/HND from a UK/USA or Class A Nigerian University.
  2. At least seven years of experience in an established Construction Company.
  3. Verifiable Project Experience in Commercial Construction.
  4. Computer proficiency with the following specific requirements:
  5. Microsoft Word – Basic Skills
  6. Microsoft Excel – Advanced Skills
  7. Microsoft PowerPoint – Basic Skills
  8. Microsoft Project – Advanced Skills
  9. Minimum Typing Speed of 45 wpm.
  10. Strong Proofreading, Writing Skills & Report Development Experience
  11. High Level Oral & Written Presentation Skills.
  12. Verifiable Organizational Skills.
  13. A highly Professional & Confident Appearance is Required.
  14. Candidates should have a reliable automobile.
  15. Very Outgoing and Cheerful Networking Personality.
