Job Position: Finance Business Partner

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Finance Business Partner’s primary responsibility is to connect senior management’s long term “strategic plan” to reality.
  2. The strategic plan is a top-down, senior management driven document that will set high-level targets of performance indicators – revenue, net income, core strategic initiatives, etc. for the company covering a period of 1-3 years into the future.
  3. Finance Business Partner’s role is also to develop the operating and financial plan required to achieve management’s strategic plan.
  4. Work experience with any of the big four accounting firms or multinationals is a bonus.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  2. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  3. Supervision of Financial Analyst(s)
  4. Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools.
  5. Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  6. Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports
  7. Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
  8. Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies.
  9. Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  10. Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  11. Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  12. Prepare presentations to the Senior Management Team

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related Accounting discipline
  2. A professional qualification with ICAN or ACCA or final qualification stage is a must.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Skills and Experience from a similar position in a multinational group or delivering similar services via Big 4 audit firm.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Finance Business Partner
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
