Job Position: Finance Manager
Job Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Job Description
- The job holder shall be responsible for managing the financial resources of the company and for the budget planning and asset management.
- Also supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Provision of detailed financial data, as well as relevant, accurate and prompt analysis and recommendations required for daily business and financing decisions.
- Ensures the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at efficiency, growth, and profitability of the business in the long-term.
- Responsible for the financial integrity of the books, financial processes, procedures, and financial controls.
- Review the financial transactions entered on AP & AR modules of Sage ERP.
- Review entries in the GLs and ensure their consistency with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure that GLs are properly reconciled, and their balances are correct.
- Ensure that financial transactions entered on the Sage ERP are substantiated by auditing documents.
- Ensure that month end closures are done and posted on Sage ERP.
- Regular review of General Ledgers and ensure that the accounts of the company show a true and fair view of its position.
- Preparation of IFRS based Financial Statement.
- Preparation of projects performance reports
- Responsible for budget performance monitoring and reporting
- Responsible for tracking, control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Support periodic reporting process as at when due.
Liaise with senior management across the organization. - Coordinate with various departments and perform variation analyses for all technical accounting problems to frame accounting policies.
- Administer and ensure achievement of all accounting financial and operational targets, and achieve organization and accounting objectives
- Ensure that the Company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements by ensuring that record keeping meets the requirement of auditors and government agencies.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
- Must maintain the highest level of decorum and professionalism in dealings with clients, statutory bodies, and consultants.
- Research and apply appropriate IFRS to new transactions.
- Ensure monthly filing of PAYE, PENSION, VAT and WHT returns
- Liaise with the Tax consultant and Tax authorities.
- Manage Treasury Function
- Maintain Income Schedule, WHT Schedule, Pension Schedule, PAYE Schedule.
Job Requirements
- First degree in Finance / Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience

- Proven experience as a Financial Manager

- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Proficient user of finance software
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
