Job Description

Are you a seasoned finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for making a difference in healthcare?

Equity Specialist Hospitals is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Finance Manager to lead our Finance Department. As a key member of the hospital’s leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial sustainability, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth. Prior healthcare experience is required.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with the hospital’s objectives.
  2. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports; analyze variances and trends; provide actionable insights to aid decision-making.
  3. Oversee billing, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and cash flow optimization.
  4. Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and healthcare industry-specific financial requirements.
  5. Supervise and mentor the finance team; assign roles, monitor performance, and strengthen internal controls.
  6. Monitor departmental expenditures, identify opportunities for cost savings, and recommend process improvements.
  7. Present financial updates to senior leadership; support funding proposals; liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA or professional certification like ICAN, or ACCA is an added advantage).
  2. Minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the healthcare or service industry.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  4. Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  5. Sound knowledge of financial regulations and healthcare industry standards.
