Job Position: Senior Finance Officer

Job Location: Island, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  2. Analyse revenues and expenses and prepare the monthly financial statements
  3. Prepare the annual and monthly budgets and monitors adherence to budget through monthly performance reviews
  4. Prepare a cashflow projection for the company and manage the cash position
  5. Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  6. Prepare tax returns and comply with corporate reporting requirements
  7. Ensure that all statutory deductions and tax returns are filed on time
  8. Review bank statements, processing bank deposits and all associated finance entries
  9. Make appropriate enquiries on abnormal expenses and entries in the accounting system
  10. Reviews invoices, receipts and other documents supporting transactions to verify the accuracy
  11. Prepare, review, and analyse monthly financial statements and report any variances to management, while identifying areas for improvement
  12. Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
  13. Coordinate the statutory audit of financial statements and ensures that they filed with FIRS and other regulatory authorities on time
  14. Process and verify payroll and payroll reports
  15. Assist with special projects when required
  16. Ensure that all finance policies and procedures for the company are strictly adhered to.
  17. Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and accounting principle
  18. Comply with federal, state, and local financial regulatory requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc / BTech / BA in relevant fields
  2. At least 5 years experience as a finance officer.
  3. Professional certification in ACCA/ICAN.
