Swift Consulting – Our client, an Education, Human Resources and Management firm, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: HR / Legal Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide legal advice and guidance on internal and external matters affecting the company
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate company agreements and contracts
  3. Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals, and employee relations
  4. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  5. Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and HR-related legal documentation
  6. Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards
  7. Support senior management in strategic HR planning and workforce development
  8. Coordinate disciplinary processes and handle conflict resolution
  9. Maintain employee records and HR management systems.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
  2. LLB qualification and active membership of the Bar (Nigerian Bar Association) are compulsory.
  3. Minimum of 2–5 years proven experience as an HR / Legal Officer, HR Associate, Legal Associate, or similar role
  4. Experience in policy drafting and HR administration
  5. Strong understanding of labour and employment laws in Nigeria
  6. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
