Swift Consulting – Our client, an Education, Human Resources and Management firm, is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: HR / Legal Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on internal and external matters affecting the company
- Draft, review, and negotiate company agreements and contracts
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals, and employee relations
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and HR-related legal documentation
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards
- Support senior management in strategic HR planning and workforce development
- Coordinate disciplinary processes and handle conflict resolution
- Maintain employee records and HR management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
- LLB qualification and active membership of the Bar (Nigerian Bar Association) are compulsory.
- Minimum of 2–5 years proven experience as an HR / Legal Officer, HR Associate, Legal Associate, or similar role
- Experience in policy drafting and HR administration
- Strong understanding of labour and employment laws in Nigeria
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
