Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team.
This role provides foundational support across the HR function and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources.
You will gain hands-on experience in HR data management, reporting, process improvement, and stakeholder communication.
The ideal candidate is highly efficient, possesses a strong affinity for data, and is proficient with Excel. For a high-performing individual, this role offers a clear path for specialization into areas such as HR Business Partnering (HRBP), Talent Acquisition (TA), Compensation & Benefits (C&B), or HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Job Responsibilities
HR Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR database / HRIS, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting HR data (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance)
- Support the preparation of regular HR metrics and reports (e.g., monthly dashboards, quarterly analytics) to aid management decision-making.
Process Improvement & Documentation:
- Assist the HR Manager in developing, implementing, and improving HR policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
- Help document and standardise HR processes by creating and updating clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Administrative Support & Communication:
- Provide first-line support for general HR inquiries from employees and other departments, demonstrating strong customer service.
- Assist in coordinating HR activities such as meetings, training sessions, and employee engagement events.
- Facilitate smooth communication between the HR department and the rest of the organisation
HR Projects Support:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for key HR projects and cycles, including performance management, compensation reviews, and employee surveys.
Requirements
Experience:
- 1 – 2 years of proven experience in a Human Resources or a related administrative role.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. Must be highly skilled in using functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Charts for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a natural affinity for working with data.
