Job Position: Human Resources Officer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Collaborate with the Group HR and General Manager to strategically plan and execute HR initiatives that benefit the company and encourage more efficient and effective work from employees.
  2. Continually educate employees on company policies (including appropriate dress, attendance, onboarding, etc.) and keep the employee handbook current
  3. Monitor employee progress and stay abreast of company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive.
  4. Providing support around enforcement of company policy, procedures, and employee disciplinary issues.
  5. Proper management of the exit process through ensuring the filling of relevant exit forms and documentation facilitates processing entitlements.
  6. Coordinating and handling orientation, induction, and training of new employees. Filling out the Onboarding Checklist and updating all necessary databases.
  7. Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
  8. Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
  9. Stay updated on changes in work legislation and industry standards.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.
  11. Coordinate performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  12. Handle employee relations and resolve any workplace conflicts or issues.
  13. Develop employee recognition and rewards programs.
  14. Manage and resolve employee complaints and grievances.
  15. Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees
  16. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  17. Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees
  18. Documentation of disciplinary procedures.

Job Requirements

  • HND or B.Sc in a Social Management course
  • 2 – 4 years work experience.
