Job Position: Legal Executive (NYSC)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Legal Executive will be responsible for carrying out legal and administrative duties to support the execution of the legal strategy of the business.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Draft legal documents
  2. Monitor and update Contract Company Register
  3. Monitor and update Company Case Register
  4. File statutory regulatory returns to Corporate Affairs Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission
  5. Prepare and file Corporate Compliance Returns
  6. Review new business relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  7. Research on legal issues.
  8. Analyze legal issues relating to proposed products.
  9. Attend court sitting as representative of the Company.
  10. Provide supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation with their specialized legal services.
  11. Assist the Company Secretary in preparation of Annual Reports and Board meetings.
  12. Attend Meetings, take minutes, and prepare meeting action points.

Job Requirements

  1. Must have a Degree in Law (LL.B) with minimum grade of Second Class Upper Division
  2. Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar
  3. Must have excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Outlook, MSWord, Excel and Power Point
  4. Must have high standard of communication skills – written and oral.
  5. Good understanding of the Nigerian Legal System
  6. Must have good administrative and secretarial skills.
  7. Must have good research and analytical skills.
