Overview
The Bible Society of Nigeria is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian organization whose primary mission involves translation of the Holy Scriptures into languages people can easily read and understand as well as production and distribution of the Scriptures to meet the different needs of everyone. It also organizes programmes for engagement with the scriptures and raises funds for these activities.
Job Position: NYSC Intern (Information Technology)
Job Location: Mainland, Lagos
Job Description
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the computer system and network for BSN Pan-Nigeria.
- Assist in providing technical support on all BSN apps (Sage, Human Manager, Room Master, and SharePoint), including BSN web-based applications.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Internet and e-mail services for users.
- Assist in training staff members in computer and software application usage.
- Assist in monitoring and updating antivirus on the network Pan-Nigeria.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and supporting software (operating systems, application software, utilities, etc.).
- Set up computer systems and peripherals on the LAN and WAN.
- Assist in implementing disaster recovery plans & network backups.
- In addition to the above, he/she may be assigned other tasks by the supervisor as and when these tasks arise.
Job Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Basic knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Understanding of network protocols.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 Administration.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Teach Ablity and trainability.
- Must be creative, diligent, and practicing Christians.
