Job Position: Sales Merchandiser

Job Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

Job Description

  • The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the presence and performance of products in retail stores.
  • This role involves creating and maintaining attractive product displays, managing inventory, and fostering strong relationships with store personnel to drive sales and meet merchandising objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that stores and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products
  • Develop and implement effective product displays and promotional setups in retail locations
  • Monitor sales performance and inventory levels, making adjustments to displays and stock as needed
  • Regularly update displays to reflect current promotions, seasonal themes, or new product launches
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate effective product placement and promotions
  • Complete and submit regular reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and inventory status
  • Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and effective product representation

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail sales, or a similar role is preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift and move products, set up displays, and stand for extended period
  • Familiarity with the local market and customer base is advantageous
  • Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
