Job Description

1. As a Special Projects Manager at Sankore, you will play a pivotal role within our team, by leading the charge in driving strategic projects and innovation.
2. Your responsibilities will span managing unique initiatives, project management, and close collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
3. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all strategic initiatives within our team are successfully executed.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of special projects from conception to delivery.
2. Identify and propose special projects aligned with organizational goals and growth strategies.
3. Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders at all levels.
4. Enterprise software management such as Google Workspace and Zoho One.
5. Optimize resource utilization and adjust as needed.
6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor project expenses.
7. Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for all strategic projects.
8. Establish and maintain high-quality standards for project deliverables.
9. Generate regular status reports and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
10. Implement agile methodologies or other suitable frameworks for efficient project delivery.
11. Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hard Science, or any related field. Master’s Degree or relevant certifications preferred.
2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the investment industry or related financial services sector.
3. Proven experience in a managerial role related to technology, innovation and project management.
4. Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on special or strategic projects.
5. Has a passion for user experience, and project management.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
8. Knowledge in driving innovation.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
