Job Position: Research Supervisor 
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support the establishment and management of nutrient omission trials for the development of site-specific nutrient management tools.
  2. Contribute to soil sampling and data collection to support digital soil mapping in Northern Nigeria.
  3. Contribute to the training of extension agents and farmers on climate-smart agriculture and ISFM.
  4. Ensure accurate data recording and maintain trial documentation for research
  5. Gather farmer feedback to refine research approaches and ensure adoption of recommended practices.
  6. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  1. BSc in Agronomy, Agricultural Science and other related courses.
  2. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:

  1. Be proficient in the use of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  2. Demonstrate a high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  3. Possesses excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  4. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
