Elevated HR Limited – Our client, a reputable company that is into large-scale livestock production located in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Veterinary Doctor
Location: Owerri, Imo

Job Responsibilities

  1. Examine animals and check their health status
  2. Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
  3. Dress wounds of injured animals
  4. Perform dental, ophthalmic and orthopaedic surgeries
  5. Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
  6. Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed
  7. Prescribe medication
  8. Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
  9. Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of an emergency
  10. Update client records.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in managing livestock farming general operations.
  2. Relevant experience working in an environmentally controlled house is also desirable.
  3. Versatile in Poultry medicine, diagnosis, poultry production and management.
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work with little supervision
  7. Leadership skills with impeccable character
  8. Proven work experience as a poultry medicine diagnostician or similar role would be an added advantage.

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 Monthly, depending on experience.
