Job Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven professional to take on a multi-faceted leadership role in a data infrastructure Fintech Company, facilitating market access in Emerging Markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across the organisation.

This is a strategic role requiring a leader who is equally comfortable engaging clients, closing deals, and overseeing day-to-day operations to support business scale-up.

Job Responsibilities
Customer Success Management:

  1. Lead customer onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives to ensure maximum value delivery.
  2. Develop customer success frameworks and feedback loops to improve user experience and product adoption.
  3. Act as the senior point of escalation for key clients, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and effectively.
  4. Build and lead a high-performing customer success team to enhance client relationships and reduce churn.

Sales & Business Development:

  1. Define and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth across existing and new markets.
  2. Build and manage a sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
  3. Establish strategic partnerships with financial institutions, corporates, and ecosystem players.
  4. Negotiate high-value contracts and collaborations that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  5. Track, analyse, and report on sales performance metrics.

Operations & COO Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day company operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  2. Drive cross-functional collaboration between product, technology, compliance, and business teams.
  3. Develop and implement business processes, KPIs, and performance dashboards for operational excellence.
  4. Support fundraising, investor relations, and board reporting activities.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial controls, and risk management policies.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
  2. 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in customer success, sales, business development, or operations (experience in fintech, banking, or technology sectors is an advantage).
  3. Proven track record of scaling teams, driving revenue growth, and managing client relationships at senior levels.
  4. Strong operational and financial acumen, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Remuneration
N700,000 – N1,200,000 depending on experience.
